Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic will be heading to Kingston for what’s billed as an ultra-special acoustic performance next week.

The quartet, who formed in Glasgow in 2007, will make an appearance at Banquet Records on September 6.

But Banquet manager Jon Tolley has promised the gig will not be your average instore show – although he’s remaining tight-lipped as to what’s in store.

Tolley says: “We are pleased to welcome back Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic to Kingston. They’ve grown into one of the UK’s great rock bands and we can’t wait for the new album.

“This will be an ultra-special acoustic performance, for reasons revealed nearer the time.”

CDs and DVDs will be on offer as part of the ticket price.

The band’s appearance comes shortly after the release of Great Divide, their third studio album and their highest charting record to date, peaking at number six in the UK album charts.

The band also scored a top 20 single when Heart & Soul, the lead single from the new album reached number 17.

A full UK tour, supporting the new album, will follow this autumn – but grab your chance now to catch the group in a more intimate environment.

It will be the second time Twin Atlantic frontman Sam McTrusty has appeared in Kingston, following an acoustic gig in May 2011.
