A Kingston care home has asked councillors to let it serve alcohol to its residents around the clock.
Coombe Hill Manor, in Coombe Lane West, also wants to show films.
Residents would be allowed a drink anytime day or night, but guests and staff will not be served alcohol between half past midnight and 10am, on police recommendations.
The home has 94 apartments and specialist facilities to care for residents with dementia.
Owners Signature said in their application the likelihood of disruption to neighbours was "remote".
One letter of objection was sent to Kingston Council, which said the proposed drinking hours were not "reasonable or acceptable".
Councillors will decide the application at a meeting at the Guildhall at 10.30am on Tuesday, August 26.
