Three women were sexually assaulted in a fashionable clothes shop inside the Bentall Centre, a court has heard.

The alleged assaults took place at the ground-floor Hollister shop, on the same day in December last year.

Kamran Asadzadeh-Baseri , 41, of no fixed address, denies the charges.

Prosecutor Thea Viney told a jury at Kingston Crown Court yesterday that Mr Asadzadeh-Baseri groped two womens’ buttocks, and thrust his hand into the crotch of a third.

She said the first woman “felt his hand cupping her right buttock and squeezing it.” The second “jumped in shock” when the same thing happened to her, she said.

The third complainant challenged Mr Asadzadeh-Baseri by saying “excuse me”, Miss Viney said.

She added: “As soon as she said this, the Crown say he grabbed her and cupped her genital area in the front.”

Police and security officers were called after the third alleged assault. Mr Asadzadeh-Baseri told police during an interview that any contact between him and the women was ‘accidental’, Miss Viney said.

In a short afternoon session, the jury was shown closed-circuit television footage of what the prosecution said was part of the second assault.

After being shown the images the jury was excused until this morning, when witnesses are due to give their evidence.

Expert psychiatric witnesses will be brought to the court to give evidence about Mr Asadzadeh-Baseri, the jury was told.

The trial, overseen by Judge Coello in Court 7, is expected to last until next Monday.
