Sarah Francis, 23, from Bexley, is going to be taking on Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro with fellow students of Loughborough University, where she is studying for a Fine Arts History Degree, to raise money for Meningitis Research. she has been working tirelessly to raise the sponsorship money with targeted campaigns, boot fairs, fundraising days and so far has raised 60% of her target.

A number of members of Gravesend and Meopham Rotary Club together with their partners went the extra mile to raise monies for two deserving causes last month. The group of eleven walked across England coast to coast, west to east in 6 days along the Hadrian’s Wall path in aid of the Junior Diabetes Research foundation and Shelterbox.

Strongmen descended on Ash in Kent when the Strongman Sanctuary organised a fundraising competition for 5 year old Brooke, who suffers from Hyper Contractile Muscular Dystrophy, an extremely rare condition that means she cannot move independently or speak.

27th May 2014 Beckenham slimmers celebrate losing over 51 stone and helping The Bereavement Unit on the Maternity Suite at Princess Royal Hospital A group of big-hearted slimmers from Beckenham are celebrating losing 51 stone 7.5 lbs between them and raising £3116.00 as part of a sponsored slim for The Bereavement Suite, known as the Robinson Suite, on the maternity unit at Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough.

Claire has been working with Cafe Du Monde for 6 years and in that time has been a Cub Scout leader. She has been chosen to take a group of Scouts to the International Jamboree in Japan in 2015 and has to fund raise for herself and the scouts. She has held boot fairs, bag packing in Sainsburys, selling sweets to the cubs and holding a monthly prize draw. With her next fundraising challenge she wanted not only raise money for the Scouts but also for Macmillan.

You don’t need to own a pair of trainers or a sweatband to be a part of the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) fantastic London Runs. Volunteers ensure our runs are a great experience by helping with essential roles at each event. Around 30 people give up their time to volunteer at each of our London Runs and take on a variety of jobs including registering our runners, looking after runners’ bags, giving out water during the run and handing out medals at the finishing line.

She supports thousands of teenagers with heart conditions as they move from the very supportive environment of paediatric care into adult services where they need to take more responsibility for their own heart health and medical appointments.

Training over the last couple of years has been tough and included the British 10K and Run to the Beat, a half marathon run through Greenwich.

When my child was first diagnosed with autism I was upset and shocked although it was a relief to know what the problem was, I was upset, angry and confused. At first it was difficult to take in what this meant for my child and the family.
My girlfriend and I are running the Livability 5K for (Livability) a charity which helps moderate to severe disabled adults with there lives
