A group of young chefs competed in the Epsom Rotary Club national young chef competition this week.
Six competitors from Blenheim High School and Rosebery School in Epsom were challenged to prepare a three course healthy meal for two people costing no more than £15.
Their dishes were judged by Sean and Joyce Mooney, owners of the Canopy Restaurant in Epsom.
After nearly three hours of cooking Hannah Lester, a student at Rosebery School, was crowned the winner with her menu of marinated tiger prawns followed by chicken and vegetables finishing with a strawberry shortcake tart.
She will go on to compete in the Rotary District final which will be held at Merton College on February 25, and also received a £50 Lakeland voucher.
Zunaira Ali of Rosebery School and Sophie Mansell of Blenheim High School received vouchers for £35 and £25 for second and third place with three runners up receiving vouchers for £15 each.
