Fire damaged an outbuilding at the end of a garden, conifer trees and a fence in West Ewell last night.
Firefighters battled the blaze in Fendall Road during the hours of darkness and another crew was called back to put out smouldering leaves this morning.
Leatherhead watch commander Tony Hartwell said they were called to scene at 8am, adding: "The residents were a little bit concerned there was steam and it was a foggy morning.
"There was some damage to an outbuilding. Four trees and the fence got burnt."
