An independent boy’s senior school is getting ready to welcome girls next year.
Ewell Castle School’s sixth form and junior school are already co-ed and its senior school will take girls from September 2015.
Principal Peter Harris said: "Following a recent parent feedback questionnaire it was clear that there was overwhelming support for the school to become co-educational throughout, with nearly 80 per cent of responses being positive.

"We are keen to make Ewell Castle a seamless educational experience so that all pupils can enjoy the benefits of the school from ages 3 to 18."
The senior school site was once part of the grounds of Nonsuch Palace built by Henry VIII.
