People are being offered the chance to have their say about plans for a huge dome and sports facilities on the edge of a nature reserve.

Nonsuch High School for Girls in Ewell Road, Cheam, has submitted plans to Epsom Council for a 44ft (13.6m) tall air-supported dome, running track, pavilion and astroturf pitches.

This planning application will be discussed by the Nonsuch Park Joint Management Committee at Nonsuch Mansion House on Monday, April 28.

Sutton Councillor Mary Burstow said: "This is not a decision-making meeting, but it will give councillors a chance to discuss the impact of this application on Nonsuch Park and listen to members of the public’s concerns."

The proposed sports dome would be the size of three netball courts next to Warren Farm, grassland and woods owned by charity the Woodland Trust.

The meeting is at Nonsuch Mansion House in the park at 10am on Monday, April 28.

Members of the public should call Democratic Services Officer Lisa Jewell on 01372732000 to speak on agenda items.
