Elmbridge parents are being urged to register their children for the P&G Surrey Youth Games 2012.
Children aged between seven and 16 will get the chance to compete against 10 other boroughs in Surrey at the multi-sport event taking place in June.
Councillor Jan Fuller, portfolio holder for leisure and cultural services, said: “The P&G Surrey Youth Games is a fantastic event for youngsters to be involved in. It is a great introduction to sports competition and enables participants to learn or develop skills in an amazing and fun atmosphere.
“Elmbridge has done very well in the games over the past couple of years and it would be wonderful to see Team Elmbridge win the gold medal this year of all years.
“We want as many young people as possible to become part of Team Elmbridge, so don’t delay, register your children online.”
For more information or to register your child call 01372 474568 or visit elmbridge.gov.uk/sport.
