Threatened Christmas celebrations for vulnerable adults will go ahead, after a generous donation to the Fircroft Trust.
Every year the Fircroft Centre in Surbiton opens for the Christmas period, so adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities have somewhere to go.
For some, it is the only Christmas meal or present they get.
The service was threatened when NHS Kingston pulled funding it had provided for the last 10 years.
Brand Learning in Hampton Wick stepped in with the £3,700 for staff and food and will also run a secret Santa to provide presents, board games and decorations.
Fundraiser Susannah Horwood said: “We are over the moon.”
