An Esher businesswoman awarded for outstanding customer service has been lauded as a “godsend” for her reliability and honesty.

Rona Wheeldon, who runs her own virtual assistant business, bagged the best customer service award at this year’s National Virtual Assistant Conference and Awards 2010.

Ms Wheeldon, said: “I am delighted to have won the award. It means a great deal to me to have achieved recognition for a part of my business I feel passionate about.

“Understanding customer needs and building strong relationships with my clients is very important to me.”

Her work as a virtual assistant essentially means outsourcing administrative duties which are normally performed within organisations by secretaries or personal assistants.

Robyn Hatley, a satisfied client from Richmond women’s networking group, the Athena Network, paid tribute to Ms Wheeldon as a provider of an essential service.

Ms Hatley said: “Rona has been a godsend for my growing business. Besides being highly reliable, efficient and trustworthy, she has proven to be proactive and an excellent ambassador for the Athena Network. I couldn’t run my business so efficiently without her.”
