A renewed appeal has been made for information about the murder of Robyn Mercer in West Molesey on the second anniversary of her death.

The 50-year-old’s body was found outside her home in Walton Road just after 8am on Monday, March 14, 2016.

A post-mortem examination showed she died from multiple blows to the head.

Detective Chief Inspector Paddy Mayers of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said: “A tremendous amount of work has been carried out since Robyn’s death, and we will not rest until we get justice for Robyn and her family.

“So far, the investigation has seen multiple arrests, house to house enquiries, numerous days of action and behind the scenes work carried out by detectives.

“A long and complex investigation is still underway, and we are confident that we will find the answers we are looking for.”

Three men have been arrested and remain under police investigation: a 27-year-old on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle and murder and to pervert the course of justice; a 29-year old from West Molesey on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle and murder; and a 27-year-old from West Molesey on suspicion of murder.

Surrey Police is reissuing its appeal for information.

DCI Mayers said: “I know that there are individuals out there with information that can assist us, and I am appealing directly to you to come forward. Please do the right thing and speak to us, we will work with you and support you.”
