Police investigating the death of Janet Moore who was hit by a car in West Molesey are appealing for help from the public.

Ms Moore, 54, was struck in a car park in the early hours of Sunday, November 26.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after hearing reports of shouting and a car speeding away.

They found Ms Moore in the Hurst Pool car park, off Dunstall Way, with serious injuries at about 4.20am.

Ms Moore, of Farm Road in Esher, died in hospital on Saturday, and Surrey Police launched a murder investigation.

Chief Inspector Graham Barnett said: “We need to hear from anyone who may have seen anything, however insignificant they may think it may be, that could help our investigation.

“So if they saw anything in that area around West Molesey, Dunstall Way, or the hospital car park, specifically were they driving along the A3050 at the end of Dunstall Way, around 11.30pm on November 25 up until about 4.30am on November 26.

“We are specifically interested in in anyone has seen or was driving a light-coloured hatchback car, which might have been in the area at the time. So if anyone saw any vehicle driving off at speed or heard any shouting or disturbance in the area, we would be keen to hear from them.”
