The Great British Bake Off final drew 14 million viewers last year, but in 2017 the show appears to have done something even more impressive: uniting East and West Molesey.
Surrey Comet asked a community group on Facebook for messages of support for Sophie Faldo, the 33-year-old trainee stuntwoman from West Molesey.
Here are the highlights.
Wishing you all the best for the final from all of us in 'The Mole' – Anne Garrard
You have the recipe for success, good luck Sophie! – Alicia von Sobbe-Grimberg
Good Luck Sophie! We are all proud of you in West Molesey. Keeping everything crossed that you will be the winner! – Laura Rossi
I now watch this every week my teenage daughter. You are great and really inspire us to cook together. Good luck; go smash it! – Geni Shephard
Good luck Sophie. Hope you do well. From Val your old neighbour from Hotham Close. – Val Mennell
Good luck Sophie, you are a truly talented baker and I have thought from week one that you could win it as you have been the most consistent baker throughout the show. I am not just saying that because I'm biased and live in West Molesey either! Good luck, go smash that final! – Sarah Cawley
Go for it, Sophie! Putting West Molesey on the map! – Jonathan Hilderley
And finally, proof that cake can be a real unifying force in the world…
EVEN East Molesey is rooting for you Sophie. Best of luck! – Lexi Blamire
