Three men arrested in connection with the Parsons Green terrorist attack have been released with no further action.

Included was a 25-year-old man who was arrested in Newport on Tuesday, September 19, a 30-year-old man who was arrested in Newport, Wales, on Wednesday, September 20, and a 20-year-old man who was arrested in Cardiff on Monday, September 25.

To date, seven people have been arrested as part of the investigation with one person charged. The other six have been released with no further action.

Searches are continuing at one address in Cardiff as the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command continues to investigate the terrorist attack on Friday, September 15 when 30 people were injured after a bomb exploded on the District Line.

The search at a home in Sunbury in Surrey has been completed.

Ahmed Hassan, 18, of Sunbury, was charged with attempted murder, along with an offence under the Explosive Substances Act.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 22 where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, October 13.

He was arrested in Dover, Kent, at around 7.50am on Saturday, September 16.
