A group of seven cyclists rode from Esher to Paris and back, to raise money for charity.
The challenge, organised by Chris Horrod, a teacher at Esher Church of England High School, was to complete the outward journey within 24 hours, and return the following morning.
They set off at 5pm on Friday, June 16, and cycled to Newhaven, where they began a four-hour ferry crossing.
After reaching Dieppe, the group continued to Paris, completing their route in 22 hours after cycling 175 miles.
They arrived back at the school at 1am on Monday, after a gruelling return journey.
The ride has so far raised £1,200 to support three schools in Zambia.
Through this and other fundraising projects, Esher High will provide laptops, clothing, stationery and sporting equipment when a group of students and staff goes there in July.
Mr Horrod said: “We were delighted to have cycled so far, and to have completed it with time to spare, all in aid of such a great community in Zambia.”
