Magic was in the air when a sculptor visited primary school pupils and created a life-sized wizard.
Steve Porter, a renowned sculptor, visited Chandlers Field School last week, and worked with children from reception to Year 3 throughout the day to create the enormous model.
Headteacher Lynn Williams said: “From its bare wire framework beginnings, the children worked together to transform it by shaping, gluing, sticking and painting so that by the end of the day it had magically transformed into the magnificent wizard that now sits in pride of place in the recently refurbished entrance to the school.”
