A 17-year-old has been arrested in the murder investigation of fisherman Scott Wilkinson, bringing the total number of arrests to six.

Mr Wilkinson’s body was pulled from the Thames in Walton near Waterside Drive on Thursday, July 28, after concerns were raised about a missing person who it was believed was last seen fishing.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Friday concluded he had died from head trauma.

The teenager was arrested today on suspicion of murder, following the arrests of a 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy for the same offence on Monday, who both remain in custody.

A 36-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and have been bailed until September 20.
A 25-year-old man from Long Ditton was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder, and has been released on bail until September 29.
Today, Mr Wilkinson’s family paid tribute to him in a short statement.
It said: "Scott, a son, brother, father and grandfather was dearly loved and will be truly missed by all of his family and friends."
