A decade-long sunken barge has been pulled out of the river.
The Environment Agency removed the boat from the River Wey, after it had come to rest against the Weybridge town bridge, last week.
It is believed it had been in the water for about 10 years.
A spokesman from the Environment Agency said: “We suspect that the barge has been laying submerged in a mooring near the railway bridge since about 2005 not causing any problems to navigation or flow.
"In the high flows of 2013 to 2014, it is suspected, the barge moved down the river with the sand and silt and came to a rest against the town bridge where it was discovered by our team."
The removal of the barge means river flows are less restricted and boats can navigate more easily.
