A taxi driver had a lucky escape after his vehicle hit a lamppost and overturned in Cobham this morning.
Police and firefighters from Painshill fire station were called to Portsmouth Road at 3.30am after the driver skidded and lost control, with the vehicle ending up on its side.
The taxi had no passengers in at the time of the crash and the driver did not sustain any major injuries.
A Painshill firefighter said the road may have become slippery from diesel and fuel after this morning's rain.
