Five people were injured in a two-car crash on Saturday.

The incident happened on the M25, between junctions 8 and 9, Epsom to Leatherhead, at 6.10pm.

Firefighters from Epsom, Leatherhead, Reigate, Chertsey and Esher were called to the crash.

An Epsom fireman said: "Crews were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars.

"Five casualties were treated on the scene by fire crews and paramedics."

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said an ambulance and paramedics in three cars went to the scene.  

He added: "One patient was taken to East Surrey Hospital with chest pain.  

"There were other patients at the scene reported as walking wounded."
