A car was reduced to a burnt shell after it was "deliberately" set alight near Claygate Woods.
The Vauxhall Corsa was found in Common Lane, Claygate, by firefighters from Esher at about 1.30am this morning.
The crew used two sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames on the car which was "well alight" when firefighters arrived.
Firefighters spent an hour and a half tackling the blaze and it is thought the car may have been stolen before it was set on fire.
