A winter shelter to give homeless people a bed for the night during the coldest months of the year has helped 14 people in its first month.
The Hersham shelter first opened on January 5 to aid homeless people from Elmbridge, Runnymede and Spelthorne.
The majority of the 14 people who came to the shelter in January had been sleeping rough. Some had become homeless after their relationship with a partner broke down.
Colin Hughes, shelter manager at Transform Housing and Support, said: "When a homeless person first arrives at the shelter we show them around so they can see the facilities and the shared bedrooms.
"If they decide to stay we explain the shelter rules to them and they are booked in."
There is a bathroom, laundry facilities and a stock of clothes, toiletries and towels available. A hot meal is served each evening and breakfast the next morning.
Transform still needs to raise more than £1,000 to keep the shelter running until the end of March. Visit transformhousing.org.uk if you wish to make a donation.
