Families can get together and remember the start of World War One by creating a felt poppy.
Children will learn why the flower is so significant in British history, by making a personalised poppy.
Councillor Mary Sheldon, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said: "With their bright colour, poppies are a strong symbol of remembrance.
"In this session, children will learn a lot more about them and make their own fabulous poppy creations to take home."
- The Museum Family Fun event is on Saturday, November 1, at Hersham Village Hall from 2pm to 4.30pm, with a £1,50 charge per child.
