A pensioner has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run in Weybridge.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 70-year-old woman was hit by what they believe to be transit-type van, or possibly larger, with the driver failing to stop.
She was taken to St George's Hospital, Tooting, with serious injuries.
The accident happened on the A317 Weybridge Road at about 10.15am today and the road was closed at the junction with Station Road.
The eastbound carriageway is also closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
