A food festival that hopes to entice foodies from across the borough is taking place this weekend.

More than 8,000 people are expected to visit the 2014 Elmbridge Food Festival at Painshill, Cobham, this Saturday and Sunday.

Councillor Christine Cross, portfolio holder for community development, said: "The council has designed a festival that will not only showcase our great food and drink, but there will be fantastic local musical talent and entertainment for the whole family.

"I would also encourage visitors to work up an appetite and explore the venue of Painshill, it is a special destination for visitors to our area and you can spend many hours exploring its treasures."

The festival will take place both days from 10.30am to 5pm.
