Grease was the world at Hinchley Wood School last week as students became members of the T-Birds and Pink Ladies.

Actors and singers from across the school put on their leather and pink satin jackets to join Rydell High cliques for three performances of the 1978 musical comedy from July 15 to 17.

The lead roles of Sandy and Danny were played by Jess Burchett and Nat David, both 15, and as they burst in to song, the audience joined in with the classics.

A half size model T-Bird car also made an appearance for the rendition of Greased Lightning.

Tea Gray, head of drama and director of the production, said: "As with any production of this kind it has been incredibly hard work, but the commitment, enthusiasm and professionalism of the students has been fantastic.

"I am very proud to have worked with them all, from the stars of the show and musicians to the backstage and sound technicians; we have some great talent in the school.

"Above all it has been an amazing team effort."
