An orange motorcross bike was stolen from a home in Thames Ditton after burglars broke into a garage.

Police are appealing for information following the theft of the KTM motorcross bike, which has a bump seat and is painted orange with black rims and Red Bull graphics.

The bike also has several orange parts across the engine which has KTM printed on it and the brake and clutch callipers also have orange parts and sponsor stickers on the mudguard.

A black number 36 is also on the front sides and the name Milly Smith is marked on the right hand side of the air box.

The bike was stolen from a garage at an address in Speer Road between 8pm on Saturday, July 5, and 9am on Sunday, July 6.

Detective Constable Andy Whittle said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time the offence was committed.

"Similarly, I am appealing for members of the public who may have seen this distinctive vehicle since the offence took place or anyone who may have been offered to buy a KTM motocross bike matching this description to contact Surrey Police with the details - any information could prove vital to the investigation."

D Con Whittle urged people to take measures to ensure their homes and outbuildings are secured properly to reduce the risk of theft.
