Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Weybridge which claimed the life of a pensioner last week.
A grey Citroen Picasso crossed a junction at struck a fence in Thames Street at about 2.20pm on Thursday, April 17.
Emergency services were called to the scene and ambulance crews pronounced the driver of the car, a man in his 70s, dead at the scene.
The road was closed for two-and-a-half hours while an investigation was carried out and reopened at about 4.50pm.
Officers from Surrey Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw the car before the accident to speak to them.
