A tennis club marked its centenary with a week of events.

St. George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club started celebrations for the landmark anniversary on June 3, with a presentation on the history of the property and club in the 1950's.

The stunning club grounds are home to 32 tennis courts, of which some were used to play Edwardian Badminton, lawn croquet and Edwardian Tennis while spectators enjoyed tea and Pimms in the sunshine.

More than 600 people joined in the club’s official celebration ball, which also saw MP and Minister of Defence, Phillip Hammond, to unveil the club’s new clock.

Families also flocked to an impressive display of musical fireworks on the family fun day.

For those unable to make the celebrations, the club will hold a Jazz Night on July 5, Junior Championships in August, a quiz night in November and a party on New Year’s Eve.
