A scheme encouraging Wimbledon’s businesses to share in London’s Olympic glory is ready to take its next step.
Going for Gold, a campaign aiming to boost the area’s businesses ahead of the 2012 games, was launched earlier this month.
This week its organisers, Wimbledon town centre management, announced a workshop event would take place on May 6 at the Tapanco restaurant in Hartfield Road.
Tracy Francis, Wimbledon town centre manager, said: “The purpose of the workshop will be to develop the ‘themed weeks’ and ‘demonstration projects’ that are to take place later in the year.
"You can reserve your place by emailing me direct or booking online.”
