Lampard fined and given points for speeding on A3

Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard has been told to pay £995 and given six penalty points on his licence after admitting to speeding on the A3.

Mr Lampard, of Tregunter Road, London, changed his plea from not guilty to guilty after being sent video footage of the offence on January 17 on the A3 Esher bypass.

The footballer, who did not appear at Staines Magistrates’ Court this morning, was fined £850 and ordered to pay £130 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £15 surcharge..

In March 2011, Mr Lampard was banned from driving for 60 days after speeding on the same stretch of the A3.
