A 63-year-old woman has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of a woman whose body was found in a New Malden garage.
Police arrested the woman yesterday at about 10.30am as part of their inquiry into the death of Carole Waugh.
She was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud.
Miss Waugh's body was found with a single stab wound inside a car in a lock-up garage in Lime Court, New Malden, south west London, on August 2.
She was reported missing by her family on May 7 and had not been seen since mid-April. She lived in London but was originally from Durham.
Two men, Rakesh Bhayani, 40, and Nicholas Kutner, 47, have been charged with her murder and connected fraud offences, and are due to appear at the Old Bailey for a plea and case management hearing on November 22.
