A Walton-based food producer has been chosen as an exemplary local food business to attend a farmers’ market in the historic gardens at Clarence House in London.
Anila’s Authentic Sauces, run by Anila Vaghela, will take part at the event, A Garden Party to Make a Difference, from Wednesday, September 8, to Sunday, September 19.
The 12-day festival is part of the national Start initiative, launched in February by the Prince of Wales, and host installations, concerts, fashion demonstrations, food stalls and comedy shows, all with the sustainability theme.
Laura Waterton of the National Farmers’ Retail and Markets Association (Farma), which represents farmers’ markets across the UK and supports Start, said: “Farma is delighted to be working with some excellent local food and craft producers from farmers’ markets across the south at such a high profile event.
“We are thrilled that Anila’s Authentic Sauces is able to be part of the area as it will give them the opportunity to showcase their fantastic food to a great audience.”
