Horse racing punters will be treated to a food festival this weekend which is being hotly tipped as a gastronomic delight by its organisers.

Sandown Park racecourse is hosting this year’s Surrey Food Festival Day on Saturday, September 11, and visitors will be able to taste food from producers from all over the county.

Stalls will include cheese specialist Norbury Blue, florist Dorking Flowers and baked goodies from SS Patisserie, based in Worcester Park.

A spokesman for Sandown Park said: “All the products sold would have been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed by the stall holder.

“There will also be samples for visitors to taste and, importantly, producers will be selling their products.”

On Saturday, November 6, Sandown is also offering residents with a KT postcode a two-for-one offer on Grandstand tickets for anyone who turns up on the day with proof of their address.

To book tickets visit sandown.co.uk or call 01372 470047.
