Weybridge estate agent makes pledge for charity

A Weybridge estate agent will give 10 per cent of its fees from house sales in Elmbridge to the Sam Beare Hospice, Weybridge, thanks to a partnership with celebrity publicist Max Clifford.

Estate agent John D Wood & Co donated £2,877.75 from the sale of Mr Clifford’s house to the hospice, as part of a fundraising partnership.

The cheque was presented to Max Clifford, who is also the hospice’s patron, by Stephen Parsons, manager of the Weybridge branch of John D Wood & Co.

The estate agent has also promised to donate 10 per cent of fees it receives from the sale of properties in Elmbridge if the seller has been introduced by any party wishing to support the charity.

Mr Parsons said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to support this worthy cause and hope that we can not only assist in raising funds but also in raising awareness of the needs of the hospice.

“Demand for property is still extremely strong and we would encourage sellers wishing to benefit from exceptional estate agency service while assisting the hospice to contact us if they are considering selling a property locally.”

The hospice, based in Weybridge High Street, provides exceptional palliative care to patients and support to families across the boroughs of Elmbridge, Spelthorne and Runnymede.
