Epsom & Ewell handed Camberley Town some early season gifts to hand them their first away league win of the season on Saturday.

Despite Nigel Bennett's return to Epsom's defence after a seven-week absence with a knee injury, Camberley took the lead through Mitch While's half-hit shot after three minutes.

Epsom lost Andy Davidson with a gashed head and it was soon 2-0, While finding the target.

Adam Stones was Epsom's next injury victim and they nearly went further behind when While's shot rebounded off Max Tacey for a corner.

Epsom pulled a goal back after 63 minutes. Richard Ingham latched onto a long ball and shrugged off a challenge before his shot was blocked, but Luke Gay powered home the loose ball.

Camberley immediately restored their two-goal advantage with Hubert Noah heading home.

In the 78th minute, sub Charlie Pritchard nodded home Epsom's second from close range after Ross Shoefield's corner had been headed back into the box.

But Lance immediately made it 4-2 to the visitors and the same player wrapped up the scoring in injury time.

Epsom & Ewell's next game is at Chertsey Town on Monday, December 27 (3pm).

Mark Freeborough scored twice as Epsom Reserves narrowly lost 2-3 to AFC Wimbledon at Merland Rise on Monday. A weakened Epsom Youth squad were hammered 6-0 at home by Dulwich Hamlet on Wednesday in a Southern Youth League fixture.
