A trove of Kingston's treasures was uncovered as part of Heritage Open Days at the weekend.
The day, which included a record 26 sites around Kingston, took in Kingston Museum, Dorich House and Domesday Village of Malden guided tours.
Hundreds of people in town to enjoy Kingston Carnival took advantage of the open days too.
And people who were in town to see heritage sites got a pleasant calypso surprise.
One of the highlights of the day were the mock trials at Kingston Crown Court.
More than 1,000 people, many young children, visited the court in Penrhyn Road. There were chances to ask resident judge Charles Tilling questions and sit in on a mock-trial of a woman charged with wounding with intent.
The free weekend was organised by Kingston Council's heritage service, the Kingston Society and other organisations.
