The Healthcare for South West London review is looking at six different areas.
- maternity and services for new babies - emergency care - children’s services - end of life and planned care - polyclinics - mental health and long-term conditions - and specialist services.
The first public document - The Case For Change will be published sometime in February - but is not expected to name hospitals.
Consultants from Kingston Hospital, GPs and a representative from the council are 15 from Kingston among the 95 clinicians given the task of shaping the future of health in south west London.
In that group are Surbiton GP Phil Moore, Helen Dirilen, a director of nursing at Kingston Hospital, Simon Pearce, head of community services at Kingston Council, and Matthew Oldfield, one of the so-called Tapas 7 who holidayed with the McCanns in Portugal when Maddy went missing.
A joint committee of Primary Care Trust chief executives set up to provide a democratic overview over the project has only met once in public since it started in June 2009, although it has met in private once a month.
The next public meeting is in March but no date has been set.
