Kingston police appeal after teenager attacked in New Malden

Kingston police are appealing for witnesses and information after a teenage boy was hospitalised after being attacked in New Malden.

Police were called at 2am on Saturday, November 7, to Virginia Close, New Malden, after reports that several youths were being chased and subsequently caught and punched and kicked by another group of youths.

One 14-year-old boy was taken to a south east London hospital with serious head injuries.

He is currently in a stable condition.

Two other boys, both aged 15, were treated for minor injuries and have now been discharged from hospital.

The attackers, thought to be in a gang of at least six youths, were black males aged between 14 and 18.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that Kingston CID are investigating, but that no arrests had been made so far.

Anyone with any information should call 020 8247 4909, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
