Transport for London (TfL) is consulting councils, politicians and interest groups about the future of the K5 bus service before its current contract ends in 2011.
Tudor ward Councillor David Cunningham said: “It is only a consultation at this stage and there is no direct threat of closure, as there was previously, but these things have a way of being sprung on us by TfL and them then quoting any lack of endorsement in the consultation as a reason for closure.
“I am therefore urging residents not only to use the service but to write or email direct to TfL expressing how useful the service is.”
