Surrey Fire and Rescue Service presents an award-winning film on Thursday, November 5, which it hopes will open teenagers’ eyes to the dangers of careless drving.
The movie, called Safe Drive Stay Alive, is being shown at Dorking Halls in Reigate Road, Dorking, at 7.30pm.
Based around a filmed reconstruction of a road traffic collision, Safe Drive Stay Alive delivers hard-hitting messages to young drivers.
It traces events leading up to a road traffic collision and then follows the actions of the emergency services dealing with the incident.
At appropriate moments, the film is paused while police, ambulance, fire and accident and emergency staff speak of their own experiences at the scene and of the aftermath.
Members of the public will also being taking to the stage with personal stories about how their lives have been affected by a fatal collision.
