Scaredy cat parents will have no excuse to avoid the rollercoasters at Chessington World of Adventures now that park bosses have hired a hypnotherapist to ease their fears.
Concerned by the number of parents volunteering to hold the bags while their kids zoom around, the theme park decided to hire professional hypnotherapist Stephen Rigby.
General manager David Smith said: “We understand that guests can find rollercoasters frightening, however we pride ourselves on being a family attraction, so it’s just as important for adults to enjoy themselves as much as children.
“We hope that Stephen can help parents overcome their coaster phobia and let their hair down on some our of family friendly coasters.”
A one-off session hypnotherapy session will take place on Friday, October 9, and more will be arranged if it proves a success.
Mr Rigby said his intention was to help parents to actually enjoy rides - not just shut their eyes to get through them.
