Year 8 pupils at Burntwood School learnt how to take care of the environment at a special conference last month.
The girls learnt how to manage waste and were thrilled to win a “waste free lunch” competition.
The conference was run by the charity Waste Watch, and held at the Roots and Shoots in Kennington.
Students said they came away brimming with ideas of how to make Burntwood a more eco-friendly school.
