A fire has badly damaged three-storey Garrick's Villa in Hampton.
A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman said 10 fire engines and 70 firefighters had been sent to the blaze at Garrick’s Villa, Hampton Court Road about 11.30am.
Firefighters used two ladders and hoses to tackle the blaze which has destroyed the building’s roof and half of the second floor.
London Ambulance also sent crews to the scene but no-one is believed injured. The fire service said the building, which had been converted in to flats, was evacuated before they arrived.
One witness said they saw the fire while out canoing on the Thames this morning.
He said the fire appeared to be under control by about 1.15pm.
