A five-day golfing marathon is kicking off on September 15, when two young men will travel north to raise money for charity.

Tom Newman, 21, and Charlie Thompson, 20, will play two 18 hole rounds of golf on 10 different courses over a five day period in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

They will start in Hampshire before heading to Walton’s Burhill Golf Club at 3pm and ending the quest five days later in Fife.

The challenge is also in memory of Mr Thompson’s uncle, Bruce Thompson, who died from motor neurone disease in 2006, and his father Jamie who died in February.
