A Kingston teenager has been jailed for throwing acid onto a man last year.
Donell Wilkins, 18, of Robin Hood Way was one of a group of teenagers who became involved in a dispute with two other men in Fife Road on July 21, 2017.
Without warning, Wilkins sprayed a corrosive substance at one of the men, before walking away from the scene.
The victim - a 17-year-old - went to hospital, where he was treated for burns to his face and eye before being discharged.
The exact type of corrosive substance was not identified.
At a hearing in Kingston Crown Court yesterday after being found guilty at an earlier date, Wilkins was jailed for six years for intent to burn, maim, disfigure, disable or commit GBH.
