A West Molesey convenience store was been subject to an attempted robbery earlier this week.
Police we called to the convenience story in in Central Parade on Thursday, July 26, following a report of a man attempting an armed robbery.
The man responsible is believed to have left the shop empty-handed. Officers, including firearms officers, dog units and the police helicopter, searched the area but he has not yet been located.
There was an increased police presence in the area overnight for reassurance.The man police are looking for is described as mixed race, 5ft 7inches tall and of slim build.
Officers do not believe he poses a wider risk to the public but should not be approached.
