Three pupils from Tolworth Girls’ School have had their GCSE art and textiles work displayed at the Mall Galleries near Charing Cross.

Freha K, Emily P and Lydia T were selected by the Dover Federation for the Arts for their 16th National Students’ Art Exhibition.

The exhibition, which runs until Saturday, July 21 from 10am to 5pm, aims to showcase talent from young artists aged 12 to 18 to inspire more young people to enter the arts.

Louise Wadham, director of practical arts, said: “This is a wonderful achievement for our students and we are extremely proud of the quality and commitment to produce such outstanding work.

“We found it very hard to select the students who represented our school in this competition, as we are proud of the achievements of all our art and textiles students at Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form this year”.

The National Students’ Art Exhibition is held under the patronage of the Royal Society of British Artists. Students’ paintings, drawings and sculptures are exhibited alongside work from the members of the RBA.
