A “violent” fight between two men outside a bar in Weybridge at the weekend has left one of them in hospital.

The 21-year-old who was attacked at around 11pm on July 14 suffered head injuries following the altercation outside the Red Bar and Restaurant in Queens Road.

He was treated at the hospital before he was later released.

Now Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident after a 24-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on suspicion of ABH.

He has since been released by officers under investigation.

PC Matthew Ladd said: “This happened on a busy Saturday night, I believe that a number of people would have seen what happened.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who was either in the bar or outside who may have witnessed the incident.”

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting the crime reference number PR/45180075238.
